The Secondary School Wellbeing Survey is based upon a locality boost to the long established SALSUS (The Scottish Schools Adolescent Lifestyle and Substance Use Survey) which ran in 2015/16. The 2016/17 survey extends the volume and range of wellbeing information collected in the local authority areas participating in RCS.

The survey will cover:

  • physical activity
  • diet
  • attitude towards school
  • family life
  • neighbourhood

The survey will be completed privately online during a single period at school.  Survey answers will be used for looking at the wellbeing needs of children and young people in your local area to help improve local services.

The survey will run in Falkirk and North Lanarkshire CPPs from November 2016 through to March 2017.

The survey will be run by ScotCen Social Research on behalf of your local service providers and the Scottish Government.

Copies of the Secondary Survey are available upon request.
