The Realigning Children’s Services programme recognises that public, third and private sector organisations must work more effectively together – and with communities – to improve children’s services and outcomes in Scotland.
The RCS team’s Development Adviser and Data and Evidence Adviser works with Community Planning Partnerships (CPPs) to achieve these improvements via:
- A structured three-day Development Programme
- Proactive and ongoing support and facilitation, tailored to need
- Practice/learning exchange sessions
The overall aim of the development and facilitation work is to create the conditions within the planning partnerships for children’s services transformation – through improved joint working, more informed decision-making and more effective planning and commissioning of services.
The structured three-day Development Programme provides input on joint strategic commissioning, data and evidence, improvement methodology and implementation and effective change management in complex systems and includes contributions from national and international subject-matter experts.
Through the different inputs described above, the RCS Development Adviser and Data and Evidence Adviser will worth with and prepare CPPs to make best use of their collated RCS wellbeing data, together with existing CPP data and evidence, when planning services, and identifying community assets, that will most effectively and efficiently meet the needs of children and young people.
